A 27-year-old woman has been charged after more than 3 kilograms of methamphetamine was found along Brown Street in a car following a chase on Friday.
She is charged with one count of unlawful possession of illicit drugs and will appear in the Suva Magistrates Court today.
Police say the seized substances were sent for analysis and confirmed to be methamphetamine.
Police say two men and another woman who were arrested have been released.
Divisional Police Commander South, Senior Superintendent of Police Wate Vocevoce, had earlier stated that the four individuals were stopped at a roadblock in Vatuwaqa, where the driver allegedly failed to produce his driver's license and drove off.
SSP Vocevoce said the suspect’s vehicle was involved in an accident along Brown Street, where the team from Nabua searched the vehicle and found several small plastic bags containing white substances believed to be methamphetamine.
