A woman charged with Bribery and Preventing the Course of Justice pleaded not guilty in the Suva Magistrates Court today.
Nur Jahan who was charged by the FICAC in July after allegedly offering $2,000 to $10,000 to an Assistant Court Officer in the Judicial Department.
According to FICAC, this was allegedly done in an attempt to influence the officer to prevent an Appeal case from being heard in the Fiji Court of Appeal.
She also allegedly offered $600.00 as an advance payment to the officer, before she was apprehended.
The matter has been adjourned to 21 November 2019.
