34-year-old Zoe Moore, who is charged with unlawful possession of illicit drugs, namely Ketamine and marijuana, and breach of bail conditions, has been remanded.
Maharaj appeared in the Sigatoka Magistrates Court.
Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Sakeo Raikaci says the woman was arrested in Korotogo, Sigatoka on Wednesday night, by a team from the Western Division Narcotics Bureau.
ACP Raikaci says the Narcotics Bureau is working with stakeholders in addressing the emergence of new drugs.
He says the sharing of information on illicit drug activities by members of the public is also encouraging as it has led to successful discoveries and arrests.
Ketamine is used for pharmaceutical purposes and is listed under Part 8 of Schedule 1 of the Illicit Drugs Control Act 2004 as Other Types of Drugs.
The case will be called again next Friday.
