The Rewa soccer team wants to win the Punjas Battle of the Giants tournament to use the prize money to help their players struggling financially due to COVID-19.

Coach Marika Rodu says this all depends on the players and how hungry they are to win the tournament.

He adds they scored some easy goals in the pool stages but are expecting much tougher competition in the semifinal against Ba.

The Delta Tigers last won the BOG in 2017 when they beat Nadi 2-1 in the final.

Rewa take on Ba in the first semifinal at 2 pm this Saturday while Nadi takes on Suva at 4 pm.

The final is at 2.30 pm Sunday.
