If Jordie Barrett moves into the vacant Number 12 jersey for the Rugby Championship finale on Saturday, this means Roger Tuivasa-Sheck’s hopes of donning the All Blacks jersey will dwindle even further.
That would leave a vacancy at fullback, but the All Blacks have a ready-made and extremely capable alternative there in Beauden Barrett, who has started 14 internationals at No. 15 during his 108-test career.
Tuivasa-Sheck, who is in his first season with the All Blacks after his switch from Rugby League, would be the other option at 12, allowing Jordie Barrett to remain at fullback, and Beauden to continue as a game-changer off the bench.
If Beauden is on the bench that means Will Jordan would move into fullback.
With injuries to David Havili (concussion) and Quinn Tupaea (knee) from Bledisloe , Ian Foster has to dig deep at second five-eighths for the return clash against the Wallabies.
The All Blacks will host the Wallabies at 7.05pm on Saturday at Eden Park.
