All Blacks captain Sam Whitelock will rejoin the team in Queensland, departing New Zealand for Australia this Saturday after the birth of his third child.
The 32-year-old remained in New Zealand missing the final Bledisloe Cup test last Sunday as he and his partner welcomed their third child.
In Whitelock's absence, Ardie Savea captained the All Blacks to a 38-21 victory over Australia in Perth.
The All Blacks confirmed on social media that Whitelock will undergo two weeks of quarantine before joining up with the team.
That would see Whitelock finish quarantine on September 25th - the same day that the All Blacks face South Africa in Townsville.
That would likely see Whitelock return to the All Blacks' selection fold for their Rugby Championship finale, again facing South Africa, this time on the Gold Coast.
This week in the Rugby Championship, the All Blacks will face Argentina at 7.05pm Sunday while the Wallabies will meet the Springboks at 10.05pm Sunday.
