Sam Whitelock has resumed the role of All Blacks captain for their end of the year tour, ahead of Sam Cane and Ardie Savea.
The 33-year-old veteran assumed the captaincy role earlier this year because Cane was sidelined due to an injury.
Cane has been out of action since the end of March, after rupturing his pectoral muscle playing for the Chiefs in the Super Rugby Aotearoa competition.
Meanwhile, Whitelock missed the All Blacks Rugby Championship campaign to support wife Hannah through the birth of their third child, with Savea taking over the captaincy role.
The All Blacks will face the USA this Sunday.
They will face Wales next Sunday, followed by their match against Italy on the 7th of November, they will play Ireland on the 14th of November and then face France on the 21st of November.
