Having lost their last 11 games to the Crusaders and not beaten them in Christchurch in 23 years, the Brumbies surprised Crusaders assistant Scott Hansen by resting a host of Wallabies for the fixture, including Nic White, Pete Samu and Rob Valetini.
Hansen says seeing their team sheet, yes, he will be honest he is surprised, but they've got a DNA and that will stay, there has been subtle changes around the Brumbies' game around where they apply pressure, and that's not solely based on what those players do.
The Crusaders injury list is growing which includes All Blacks Whitelock (broken hand), David Havili (shoulder), Jack Goodhue (groin), Will Jordan (concussion related illness), and Sevu Reece (serious knee injury).
They however still have the services of Richie Mo’unga, Scott Barrett Leicester Fainga’anuku, Richie Mo’unga, Mitchell Drummond, Tom Christie, Ethan Blackadder, Codie Taylor, and Joe Moody.
The Crusaders will take on the Brumbies at 6.05pm tonight
