Fiji Airways Men’s National 7s player Kaminieli Rasaku says the main focus of the team is the Olympic Games and to keep lifting their performance in every HSBC SVNS Series.
Rasaku highlighted this when questioned by the media if the recent commotion within the 7s program is affecting the team's preparation.
He says they are not bothered by the talks going around about the 7s team as their main focus is the 2024 Paris Olympic Games.
The 24-year-old says he is also grateful that the 7s door has re-opened for him after playing for Bayonne in the Pro D2 competition in France.
The National 7s side will be fielding a team for the McDonald’s Fiji’s Coral Coast 7s this week at Lawaqa Park, Sigatoka, in preparation for the Perth 7s.
Fiji is in pool C at the upcoming Perth 7s alongside New Zealand, France and Samoa.
The Perth 7s will be held from next Friday to Sunday.
