18 welfare officers are going through community based corrections training for the next three days where they are learning how to supervise and rehabilitate offenders into the community.
While speaking at the training, Minister for Women, Children and Poverty Alleviation Rosy Akbar urged participants to care because that is how they can really make an impact.
So far 318 individuals have been trained as Community Volunteer Supervisors and 37 Welfare Officers have been trained through the community based corrections program.
