All Blacks halfback Brad Weber's rare starting chance in tonight's match against Australia is governed by realizing the danger his emerging rival Tate McDermott represents.
McDermott has been one of the most impressive performers for the Wallabies this year and is a constant threat with his sniping breaks from the base of rucks and scrums.
Weber says McDermott reminded him of himself when he first arrived on the Test scene.
He says he has played against McDermott once this year and he is definitely a threat.
He adds if the Wallabies get a quick ball and he is on the front foot, he can be dangerous for those players around the fringes.
The All Blacks have retained the Bledisloe Cup and are aiming for a clean sweep which they have only done 3 times in the last decade.
The All Blacks will face the Wallabies at 6pm today.
