The Acting Permanent Secretary for Health Dr James Fong

The Acting Permanent Secretary for Health Dr James Fong says there is a significant list of Fijians who are away overseas and they will continue to work on getting them back.

Doctor Fong adds they have gained a lot of experience from the past on how to successfully quarantine citizens upon their arrival.

Head of Health Protection Dr Aalisha Sahukhan says over 4,000 citizens have gone through the Ministry of Health’s quarantine facilities.

Doctor Fong says all health officials and RFMF staff guarding the quarantine facilities are well trained.

He says the people of Fiji are to be rest assured that Fiji remains a COVID-19 contained country.
