The Officer in Charge of Drug Intelligence Unit of the Fiji Police Force, Assistant Superintendent Anare Masitabua says they target about 200 drug dealers in the Suva and Nausori corridor.
He revealed this during a panel discussion at the National Dialogue titled Substance Abuse – Let’s Talk About It! Finding a Fijian Solution at the AusAid Lecture Theatre at USP.
This is organised by Leadership Fiji with the support of the Ministry of National Security and Defence.
He says they target these dealers every now and then but the trade continues.
Assistant Superintendent Masitabua says they have also profiled people that transport drugs.
He adds this includes youth dealers, dealers, suppliers, and traffickers.
