Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama

Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama says COVID-19 continues to rage around the world, and we must continue to be vigilant and keep the healthy habits that have been at the heart of Fiji’s success in having no active COVID-19 cases.

While officiating at the Commissioning of the Coastal Protection Works at Namoli Village in Lautoka, Bainimarama thanked the people of Lautoka for their cooporation through the lock-down and their diligence in a nationwide effort.

He says if they had not acted decisively then, Lautoka could all too easily have become the epicentre of a viral outbreak that spread across the country, claiming an untold number of Fijian lives.
