We gave away a lot of valuable possession to the Waratahs and also a couple of soft tries that proved too costly for us last week.
Swire Shipping Fijian Drua coach Mick Byrne stated this and he further says they cannot afford to be doing these same mistakes especially coming up against a team like the Moana Pasifika this weekend.
When asked by fijivillage News about the players’ decision-making on the field that cost them points, Byrne says at some point in the game, the players knew what they were doing but just could not control possession resulting in giving away the ball easily to the opposition.
He says the Moana Pasifika will be looking to bring their A-game this week and they have shown what they are capable of against top teams in the competition but they will make sure they are ready to counter whatever the visitors throw at them this weekend.
The Fijian Drua will play Moana Pasifika in their Shop N Save Super Rugby Pacific round 13 clash at 2.05pm Saturday in Lautoka.
In other matches this week, the Highlanders will play the Reds at 7.05pm Friday, the Rebels will take on the Force at 9.35pm Friday, the Crusaders will host the Waratahs at 4.35pm Saturday, the Blues will play the Waratahs at 7.05pm Saturday while the Brumbies will take on the Chiefs at 9.35pm Saturday.
