Acting Prime Minister, Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum

Fiji’s development partners need to come together as one as we cannot have duplication of resources as they are limited.

This is the call from the Acting Prime Minister, Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum who says sometimes they see that even with a development partner like the United Nations, they find different arms trying to compete with each other as to which NGO or Government Ministry will get to use their line of cooperation.

The Minister for Economy says we are going through a period where there is a lot of turbulence globally and we now know that all economic pundits are saying inflation will rise.

He says this is why we need to have a collaborative approach to tackle issues.
