The great thing about this team is that we have asked them from the beginning is when we work, we work.
Fiji Water Flying Fijians coach Simon Raiwalui stated this when questioned on how the team is preparing for their game against Georgia.
Raiwalui says Georgia are a very good team, physical, and they love to play with that physicality just like we do.
He says Georgia and Fiji are at similar stages of development and looking to develop further with bigger matches outside the RWC.
Raiwalui says they had to build close bonds because they come from different places, clubs, Europe, Japan, Australia, the Drua and sometimes they come in with just 1 week’s preparation.
Raiwalui says they had a good training session today, captain’s run tomorrow and are looking forward to the game against Georgia.
The Flying Fijians play Georgia at 3.45am this Sunday.
Meanwhile, New Zealand will take on Italy at 7am tomorrow, Argentina will play Chile at 1am Sunday, and Scotland will face Romania at 7am Sunday.
Earlier this morning Japan beat Samoa 28-22.
