Fiji Airways Flying Fijians coach John McKee says they are working on improving their defence around the ruck area.
McKee says he sees this as something that needs to be improved as other teams will try to slow down the ball when they will face Fiji in the Rugby World Cup.
He says they need to be really effective in this area after carrying the ball or when they are tackled to make sure the ruck area is cleaned with minimum numbers and get the ball out quickly.
McKee also predicted that other teams will put a lot of high balls and a lot of contestable kicks to them, so it is important that they have a strategy to be able to diffuse this and use it to their advantage.
Fiji will be leaving for New Zealand today to face Tonga at 4.30pm on Saturday at Eden Park.
Fiji is pooled with Australia, Wales, Georgia and Uruguay.
Fiji’s first pool match is against the Wallabies on the 21st of next month at 4.45pm while the Rugby World Cup will be held on the 20th of next month to the 2nd of November.
