Olympic bronze medallist and Fiji Airways Fijiana 7s rep Lavena Cavuru says they have reached their target of passing the cup quarter finals, and they are ready to take on New Zealand in the Singapore 7s semi finals.
Speaking in the i-Taukei language, Cavuru says they had a tough game against Japan in the quarter finals, but she is grateful that the girls gave their all.
She says the team management has set their targets, and it is for the girls to execute their roles on the field.
Fijiana will take on New Zealand in the first women’s cup semi final at 5.02pm today, and Australia will face France in the second semi final.
The women’s cup final will be at 9.41 tonight.
Meanwhile, the Fiji men’s 7s side will meet Spain at 4.36pm today in the 9th place play-offs.
