Fiji Airways Fijiana 7s Captain Rusila Nagasau says they have been focusing on their defence as they prepare for the Langford 7s next weekend and Toulouse 7s in the third week of May.

She says its been 8 weeks of solid training for them and the girls are ready to take on the world

Nagasau says a few new players have also joined the squad.

Fiji Airways Fijiana 7s Head Coach Saiasi Fuli has named a powerful and exciting pack for the Langford and Toulouse 7s as the Women’s HSBC World Rugby 7s Series resumes in Canada next weekend.

Verenaisi Bari who is a product of the Vodafone Vanua Championship will make her international 7s debut at next week’s tournament in Langford.

Fuli has maintained his set of core players, led by captain Rusila Nagasau, Vaisiti Solikoviti, Vani Buleki, Sesenieli Donu and Raijieli Daveua who will provide strength in the forwards.

Reapi Uluinasau, Lavena Cavuru and Aloesi Nakoci will provide speed and experience in the backs.

Other players included in the 13 member team are Mereula Toroti, Viniana Riwai, Laisani Likuceva and Ana Naimasi.

Fiji is in Pool C with England, USA and New Zealand.

Australia leads Pool A with Canada, Spain and Mexico while Ireland takes in-charge of Pool B with France, Brazil and Japan.
