The Executive Manager of Fiji Airways Holidays, Akuila Batiweti says they are now facing a bit of issue with hotel room inventories and there are a lot more stop-sells coming through from hotels.
With Fiji's international borders opening on December 1st, Batiweti says in some cases there are no more rooms.
He says some of the wholesalers have told them that they can see the rooms but the hoteliers are closing them for guests for the Bula Bubble which is a travel arrangement to welcome back holidaymakers from Australia and New Zealand.
Batiweti says this problem exists especially for the period between 20th December and the first week of January.
It has been revealed that around 30,000 passengers are inbound for Fiji for December through various airline companies while 40,000 inbound passengers are confirmed for January at this stage.
