We Unite Fiji Party Deputy Leader, Doctor Jone Hawea and candidate Abel Camillo have been charged with one count each of Malicious Act.
Police had earlier said that the two were allegedly calling for a mass gathering to protest against the 2022 General Elections process at the Vodafone Arena.
Commissioner of Police Brigadier General Sitiveni Qiliho had said Dr Hawea went live on Facebook on Friday evening, calling on people to gather in mass numbers at the Vodafone Arena to protest the 2022 election counting process.
He adds that Camillo also called on people to gather in numbers at the same venue in protest of the election process.
The two will be produced at the Suva Magistrates Court today.
