Villagers in the District of Nacula and the District of Yasawa are set to experience significant relief in terms of water supply as the Ministry of Public Works distributed water tanks to villages under the Rain Water Harvesting Scheme.
The scheme aims to address the long-standing water issues faced in these communities by providing a sustainable solution through rainwater collection and storage.
Families across these regions will greatly benefit from the Rain Water Harvesting Scheme, which will ensure a more reliable water supply for their daily needs.
The initiative includes delivering water tanks to several villages, such as Yasawa-i-Rara, Bukama, Teci, Dalomo, and Nabukeru. These deliveries are crucial for improving the quality of life and health of the residents.
In addition, the Tikina of Nacula, which encompasses the villages of Malakati, Naisisili, Nacula, Matacawalevu, Yaqeta, Vuaki, and Nasomo School, will also receive water tanks.
