If you are living along the Suva/Nausori and Tailevu corridor, then you should store water as the Water Authority of Fiji says the reservoirs that supply water to these areas are approaching critical levels.
WAF says this is due to high usage of water which may cause low pressure and water disruptions for those living in low lying areas.
Areas that can be affected includes those that feed from the Tovata reservoir like Makoi, Kaliveitau, Veitata, Tovata Road, Qaranivalu, Caubati Koro, Daniva, Niubalavu, Raikiwai, Niuvula, Niusawa Lane, Tacirua East, Cunningham, and Khalsa Road.
Areas such as Valelevu, Caqiri, Nawanawa, Koka, Kinoya, Vasant Lal, Vesivesi, Yasiyasi, Seventh Day Adventist Church at Dokanaisuva to Tacirua Fijian School and Vunuleba Settlement will also be affected.
The areas that receive their water supply from the Colo-i-Suva reservoir will also be affected including Naisogo, Colo‐i‐Suva Crest Chicken, Princes Road, Marshall Road, Taqairua, Vunikawai, Uluibeka, Colanaivau, and Valesasa.
Areas like Wrong Turn, Sakoca, Upper Khalsa, Tacirua Heights will also face disruptions.
Elevated areas along Dilkusha Road, Ram G Road, Jug Lal Road, and Lelean Memorial School can experience low pressure.
Ovea, Cautata, Vatoa, Lakena, Vunivivi, Kiuva, Naitalasese, Daku, Maumi, Vusuya, Mokani, Naila, Bau Island, Tokatoka, Nakelo, Rewa, Vunimono, Nadali Airport, Wainibokasi, and Naselai can also experience water disruptions.
