With the new taxi fare effective from today, the Fiji Taxi Union General Secretary Rishi Ram is issuing a warning to all taxi drivers to charge the new fares or lose their license.
This is after Fijivillage raised the question on what type of actions, will be taken against drivers who fail to turn their meters on or charge by the new taxi fare.
Rishi Ram said that monitoring will begin from today by the Land Transport Authority and if drivers are caught not abiding by the singed agreement they will be taken to task.
