The Waratahs are looking forward to playing their first-ever Shop N Save Super Rugby Pacific match in Fiji when they take on the Swire Shipping Fijian Drua in Lautoka this weekend.
Wallabies and Waratahs halfback Jake Gordon says they are excited about this opportunity of playing the Drua in Fiji.
The Waratahs will be looking to keep their winning record against the Drua while the Drua will want to defend their home turf again after claiming a win at home against the Crusaders last two weeks.
So far, both teams are coming into this match with only 1 win each after 4 rounds of the competition with the Waratahs sitting in 9th place on the overall standings and the Drua on 10th.
Meanwhile, it will be a double header clash this weekend as the Rooster Chicken Fijian Drua Women will also be playing the Waratahs Women in round 2 of the Super Rugby Women’s competition at Churchill Park.
The Fijian Drua Men will take on the Waratahs at 1.05pm this Saturday while the Drua Women will take on the Waratahs at 3.35pm and both games will be held in Lautoka.
In other matches this weekend, the Hurricanes will host the Rebels at 6.05pm Friday, the Brumbies will take on Moana Pasifika at 8.35pm Friday, the Chiefs will take on the Highlanders at 3.35pm Saturday, the Blues will play the Crusaders at 6.05pm Saturday and Western Force will take on the Reds at 8.35pm Saturday.
