Former employee of the Ministry of Finance, Iliesa Waqavonovono has been given 14 days to file his submission as he wishes to change his plea.
Waqavonovono is charged with one count of Falsification of Documents and one count of Obtaining a Financial Advantage.
Waqavonovono is also charged with one count of Abuse of Office.
He had earlier pleaded guilty to these charges.
The case has been adjourned to the 13th of next month.
It is alleged that Waqavonovono between 1st January and 31st August last year, while being employed as a clerical officer retained two BSP cheques in his possession which had a total value of $67,998.
These cheques were being refunded to the Ministry of Finance.
It is also alleged that Waqavonovono between 1st March and 31st August last year, dishonestly falsified three cheques totaling $57,409 with the intention of obtaining a gain from the Ministry of Finance.
Waqavonovono also allegedly obtained a financial advantage amounting to the total sum of $57,409 from the Ministry of Finance between 1st March and 31st August last year by falsifying three government BSP cheques.
