The Wallabies' preparation for their Rugby World Cup crunch match against the Fiji Water Flying Fijians next Monday has taken a bit of a blow with key prop Taniela Tupou under an injury cloud.
After an impressive performance in the Wallabies’ 35-15 win over Georgia last week in their RWC opener, Tupou was not seen training with the team yesterday after complaining of hamstring.
The Wallabies already have props James Slipper and Pone Fa'amausili in doubt with the pair missing out last week and with Tupou now in doubt, the front-row stock is in huge trouble.
Wallabies assistant Jason Ryles says Tupou hadn't been ruled out just yet but will monitor him and see how he goes over the next couple of days.
He says experienced prop Slipper is in line to make his fourth World Cup appearance but nothing is yet to be confirmed on whether is fit to play or not.
The Wallabies will take on the Flying Fijians at 3.45am next Monday in Lyon.
