Fiji Water Flying Fijians winger Jiuta Wainiqolo continued his fine performance for his Toulon side as he scored a 78-metre try to help them secure a 21-10 win over Lyon in round 9 of the French Top 14 competition.

Wainiqolo collected a well-worked crosskick from French flyhalf Pablo Garbisi after being awarded a penalty inside their own half and used power and pace to work his way through the defence and score beside the crossbar.

The 25-year-old also accumulated some impressive numbers on the stats in today’s match, running a total of 105 metres in 5 carries, making 1 linebreak and beating 5 defenders.

Meanwhile, Flying Fijians centre Semi Radradra started at number 12 for Lyon and had the most carries in the match.

Both Radradra and Wainiqolo are expected to join the Flying Fijians next week for the remainder of the November tests tour.

In other Top 14 matches in round 9, Clermont defeated Bordeaux 32-27, Castres beat Montpellier 30-26, Perpignan thumped Vannes 32-13, Racing 92 defeated Pau 33-23 and La Rochelle defeated Stade Francais 35-18.
