Waibau Crossing in Naqali closed to all traffic

Waibau Crossing in Naqali is still closed to all traffic.

The Fiji Roads Authority has confirmed that the crossing is flooded after the heavy downpour last night. 

The crossing has also been blocked by debris.

FRA says people travelling on Bau Tikina Road are urged to exercise extreme caution.

This follows the recent road slips that has led to additional barricades and one way restriction on sections of this road. 

The Central, Western and Northern Divisions have reported surface flooding on some urban and rural roads however the main arterial roads remain open.

A heavy rain warning remains in force for Fiji.
