The 13 day walk around Viti Levu came to an end today for the Walk on Walk Strong Kids Fiji team who took on the challenge to raise funds for children who are suffering from cancer and other life threatening diseases.

One of the core walkers, 62-year-old Francis Chung of Samabula who is wheelchair bound said he had to use a hand cycle to make his way on the hills.

Chung who is a former Para triathlete said he feels good carrying out a worthy cause.

Meanwhile, Jeremy Duxbury of the WOWS Kids Fiji said they also met couple of kids along the way who are cancer patients and some who have battled with this deadly disease.

A number of people also took part in the head shave at Sukuna Park this afternoon to raise funds.

Top overseas based rugby players including Wame Lewaravu and Alex Rokobaro will be shaving their head while Api Naikatini will shave his beard in the coming days to raise funds for the WOWS Kids Fiji.

WOWS Kids Fiji Chairman, Makarava Wilson had earlier said that they are hoping to collect around $100,000.
