A family of six in Vunivau, Labasa have been left homeless after their four-bedroom house was completely destroyed in a fire last night.

Shalendra Naicker says they were all in the sitting room watching a movie when the fire broke out from their Puja room.

In an interview with fijivillage News, Naicker says they were not able to save anything,

He says the estimated cost of the damage is around $200,000.

Naicker raised concerns that the firefighters arrived after an hour.

They are currently sheltering at their uncle’s place.

If you wish to assist the family you can contact Naicker on 8064084.

We have sent questions to the National Fire Authority.
