Former Fiji Bati rep and Queensland Reds star recruit Suliasi Vunivalu believes he can be more of a try-scoring machine in rugby union than he was in the NRL.
Vunivalu has also revealed how hard he has worked on tackle technique so he doesn’t get shown a card in his first foray back in the 15-man game.
Vunivalu says he gets more licence now in union as he will get more of the ball.
He adds his focus in pre-season has been to get low in tackles and contest in the ruck.
Vuvivalu scored 86 tries from 111 appearances for the Melbourne Storm.
The Reds will face the Waratahs in a warm up match at 9 tonight.
Also featuring for the Reds will be Filipo Daugunu, Moses Sorovi, Ilaisa Droasese and Seru Uru.
