Vow and Declare won $4.4 million as the prize money and was the only Australian-bred horse in this year's race.

Jockey Craig Williams says this was a very close race.
Williams, dedicated the win to those who had trained his winning horseback in stables.
He says he does not want to name everyone in the stable but with all their hard work, they love this horse.
Prince of Arran finished second, Il Paradiso finished third while Master of Reality came fourth.
