More than 900 students of Votualevu Public School will soon have a better learning environment after the refurbishment of their old four classroom block is completed.
Head Teacher Salendra Singh says classes are always disrupted and furniture and stationary have to be shifted to other classrooms due to roof leakage during heavy rain.
Singh says $20,000 is the cost of the refurbishment funded by the Ministry of Education grant.
Reach 4 Your Future Foundation Vice President Zarina Reece says 100 volunteers from Australia and New Zealand who are from the Laser Group will carry out the one day work to replace the roofing and some part of the four block classroom.
Work will start on tomorrow.
