A volcano has erupted in Ulamona, West New Britain in Papua New Guinea.
People were evacuated and moved to Kabaya Care Centre after Mt. Ulawun erupted very badly.
Ward Councilor Member Christine Luvani says the elderly were moved first.
He says the government should supply water and other necessary items during their stay at the care centre.
Following the eruption Air Niugini has also suspended all flights due to the ash fall on the runway, taxiways and the vicinity of the airport.
