Vodafone calls on customers to prevent falling for viber scam

Vodafone Fiji Limited is calling on its customers during this festive season to be diligent and not to fall into any traps.

This is following concerns that have been raised by customers about false messages and calls they received on Viber informing them that they have won the lottery and a lot of money.

Vodafone Public Relations Officer Fozia Muktar says that they have received complaints regarding this issue.

Muktar says although they cannot do anything about it as 'Viber' does not come under any mobile network company in Fiji, she continues to urge people to be smart.

She says that this is usually done by fraudsters outside of Fiji who may be looking for a way to make money.

Muktar adds that customers need to be aware that 'Viber' is not owned or partnered with any network provider in Fiji.

Meanwhile, Muktar urges Vodafone customers to be diligent and smart on who to get messages and calls from.
