Vodafone Fiji refuted claims made by the Consumer Council of Fiji CEO that Vodafone’s broadband is not providing the optimum speed for mobile internet and wireless broadband services.

Vodafone Fiji Limited Head of Commerce and Corporate Affairs Shailendra Prasad said this comes as a surprise after the popular broadband testing online site Ookla placed Vodafone Fiji at number 1 for average speeds in the Pacific.

Prasad said they are baffled by the ill-informed outburst by the Consumer Council.

Council CEO Premila Kumar said they continue to receive complaints from consumers particularly on Vodafone’s 4G networks despite them being rated number 1.
