Vodafone ATH Fiji Foundation in their tribute to late Doctor Isimeli Tukana says he will forever be remembered for his passion towards humanity in steering communities away from non-communicable diseases and mental illness.

Dr. Tukana passed away on Saturday morning after a short illness.

They say Dr. Tukana had always been part of the Vodafone Mobile for Good Program, mHealth, mWellness and all non-communicable disease programs.

The Foundation says he would go an extra mile to ensure that communities were safe from preventable diseases as well as ensuring that those who acquired disability due to NCDs were provided with mobility devices, equipment and medical supplies.

They add his professionalism, sense of humor, motivation, advocacy, collaboration and engagement with their beneficiaries, partners, charities and stakeholders is a legacy in its own right.

The Foundation has offered their heartfelt prayers and condolences to Dr. Tukana’s family, friends and colleagues during this difficult and challenging times.
