The village of Sabeto in Nadi was filled with joy and celebration as the people and Vanua of Betoraurau warmly welcomed their newly-crowned Hibiscus Queen, Melania Tora, back to her home village.
Tora's maternal relatives who are from Daliconi, Vanuabalavu, began the traditional ceremonies by presenting their first i sevusevu to the Waruta clan in the village of Natalau, where the Hibiscus Queen is originally from.
They presented another i sevusevu to the Momo na Tui Sabeto, Ratu Viliame Mataitoga who officially welcomed Tora.
Na Tui Sabeto also offered a sevusevu to Tora and her tribe before the celebration continued with a grand feast prepared by the people of Betoraurau.
It was a day filled with traditional customs, pride, and celebration, as the village came together to honour the Hibiscus Queen.
