The Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama on behalf of the Government and people of Fiji has extended his condolences to the family of the Permanent Secretary for the Ministry of Sugar Industry, Manasa Vaniqi, on his passing on Thursday.
Bainimarama said Vaniqi dedicated his life to service and in doing so, placed the needs of the nation before his own.
Bainimarama added that his immense contribution over the years has brought about significant change, particularly in the sugar industry where he served as Permanent Secretary.
Manasa Vaniqi passed away at the Lautoka Hospital on Thursday morning after a short illness.
