Valentine's day: Love is in the air

Every year for Valentine’s Day, lovers around the world pull out all the stops for their sweetheart.

From the traditional flowers and chocolate to more expensive gifts such as diamonds, today is about spending hard-earned cash for some people.

Most couples choose to head out for a romantic dinner, others prefer to stay at home and enjoy a quiet evening.

Fijivillage spoke to a few people on the streets of Suva who have big plans for their loved ones today.

Boomerang Flowers which is located at Vodafone Ivi Triangle do Valentine's Day promotion every year where they sell different varieties of roses.

They say the flower mare almost running out of stock and people are coming out in numbers to buy roses for their loved ones.
