Concerns have been raised by frustrated patients and families over the poor service and deteriorating conditions at the Valelevu Health Centre, with calls for immediate action from the Ministry of Health.
The frustrated patients and families say the situation is unacceptable and are demanding urgent improvements.
A Nasinu family also reported that long waiting times, overcrowding, and non-functional ceiling fans have made the facility unbearably hot.
They say patients, including young children, suffered in the heat, with some crying due to discomfort, while many waited over three hours to see a nurse and seven hours to see a doctor.
They further stated that the facility itself is in poor condition, with leaking ceilings during rain, forcing patients to move around to stay dry.
Many others experienced similar delays, with nurses often away from their stations or on their phones.
The concerned patients are urging government officials to visit the centre and take immediate steps to improve patient care.
fijivillage News has sent questions to the Minister for Health Dr Atonio Lalabalavu. He is yet to respond.
