The Nadi International Airport will soon start its upgrading works.
This is after New Zealand firm Hawkins Infrastructure was awarded the tender for the construction.
Executive Chairman of Airports Fiji Limited Faiz Khan told Pacific Beat the 29 million Australian dollar redevelopment is due to start on the 15th of next month, with planned completion in October next year.
Khan said locals will also be involved in the upgrading works.
He also said security will be improved during the airport upgrade.
