Internet Service provider, Unwired Fiji is about to launch it's new 4G wireless internet network across the main centers of Viti Levu after completing the second phase of it's restructure.

Managing Director, William Parkinson said a comprehensive review of operations has been carried out and shareholders have agreed to a further round of investment that is aimed at paying down debt and also invest in the latest WiMAX technology which is aimed at delivering wireless internet speed.

Upon the completion of the restructure, Communication Fiji Limited's shareholding in iPAC communication, the parent company of Unwired Fiji will reduce to 12.5 percent from 34.6 percent.

Parkinson said this will mean that Unwired Fiji will be able to compete against the major players in the market and locals can take advantage of the latest wireless internet technology.
