The management of the University of Fiji says it will now look into issues such as student fees arrears, prices of food items in the cafeteria and student representation in council sub committees.

This comes after the Student Association handed an appeal notice to the University Management.

The University says an action plan has been drawn for the issues pending and a proposed time line has been given.

It says the Management have fast tracked procuring of computers for the students.

In addition to this, bures will be built to solve the seating problems and tables and chairs will be procured to increase sitting capacity.

The University says the cafeteria at the Saweni Campus has been outsourced and the issue raised about increase in food prices has been resolved while the new cafeteria at Samabula Campus is due to open by next week Friday.

It says tuition fees for current students for Semester 1 will be due on the 1st of next month, however, if for any reasons the student cannot pay the fees by 1st of March, a payment plan must be arranged with Finance Office.

Student access to Moodle, library and other services will not be revoked if fees are not paid.
