Vodafone Flying Fijians flyhalf, Josh Matavesi

It is unfinished business for Vodafone Flying Fijians flyhalf, Josh Matavesi in the 2015 Rugby World Cup as he did not play in the 2011 tournament.

Matavesi says the team cannot wait to take the field tomorrow.

Matavesi also has a message for the fans as the players need all the support they can get.

Josh Matavesi says he loves to cook Fiji curry when he is in England.

Matavesi’s roommate during the build up to the World Cup is Crusaders bound flyhalf, Ben Volavola. He says Volavola is like a brother to him.

When asked on Campese Ma’afu’s comments that Josh Matavesi is the biggest eater in the team, he had this to say.

Josh Matavesi has represented Worcester Warriors in the Aviva Premiership and is currently playing for The Ospreys.

His father, Sireli Matavesi, who is from Vanuabalavu, Lau toured the United Kingdom as a Fiji Barbarian in 1987 where he met his wife, Karen. He was offered a contract by Camborne. Josh Matavesi also played rugby for the same club as his father.

In December 2008, he was called up to the England Under 20 squad for the 2009 Six Nations Under 20 tournament.

Matavesi played in the 2010 World Rugby Junior World Championship with the Fiji U20s in Argentina.
