U.S Indo-Pacific Command Commander Admiral John. C. Aquilino says he is honored to visit Fiji as it is important to meet with his counterparts and strengthen the relationship that exists between the INDOPACOM and Republic of Fiji Military Forces.
Admiral Aquilino highlighted this as he paid a courtesy call to the Commander RFMF Major-General Ro Jone Kalouniwai at the Strategic Headquarters in Berkley Crescent today.
Admiral Aquilio is the 26th Commander of the USINDOPACOM, the nation’s oldest and largest combatant command.
He was accorded a ceremonial quarter guard before he was traditionally welcomed at the Officers Mess at the Queen Elizabeth Barracks.
USINDOPACOM includes approximately 380,000 personnel and is responsible for all U.S military activities in the Indo-Pacific region.
