US Embassy awards three NGOs with Public Diplomacy Grants

The Fijian Teachers Association, the Rugby Academy of Fiji and the United Nations Association have been awarded a total of US$39,000 in Public Diplomacy Small Grants by the United States Embassy in Fiji.

FTA will receive US$10,000, the Rugby Academy will receive US$15,000 and the United Nations Association will receive US$14,000.

FTA will facilitate workshops for teachers of science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics to help prepare their students for their careers.

The United Nations Association will use the funds to conduct a professional development program to help participants to develop their research, writing and public speaking skills.

The Rugby Academy of Fiji will use the incentive to provide female rugby players with the training necessary to attract professional sponsorship.
