The Swire Shipping Drua has now dropped to 10th on the Shop N Save Super Rugby Pacific table after a 32-18 loss to the Waratahs in Sydney last night.

The Drua took an early lead with a converted penalty from Caleb Muntz to put them ahead 3-0.

The Waratahs struck back through a set piece to put Mark Nawaqanitawase in the corner taking the lead to 5-3.

Just before half-time, Waratahs fullback Max Jorgensen put former 7s star Dylan Pietsch over for a try.

The Waratahs led 13-6 at the break.

The Drua struck first in the second half through hooker Tevita Ikanivere in the 56th minute, conversion successful to level the scores at 13-all.

Jorgensen set up Nawaqanitawase’s second try in the corner after centre Joey Walton passed the ball back to him, to extend their lead 20-13.

Big Joseva Tamani scored in the corner to keep the Dua’s hopes alive 18-20.

Powerful Number 8 Langi Gleeson bumped off Ravutaumada to cross for a try, while replacement hooker Mahe Vailanu’s try was the final nail in the coffin.

In other results, the Crusaders thrashed Moana Pasifika 41-7, the Blues thumped the Reds 45-26, the Highlanders edged the Rebels 20-17, the Chiefs blew out the Hurricanes 23-12 and the Force thumped the Brumbies 34-19.
